Our Story
It started in Florence, Texas in 2009 with a large unfinished building and a bright red barn on open land. The place had been unused for years and half built, but Cameron Smiley saw potential. With help from his teenage sons he got to work, cutting doors, wiring, plumbing and making the structure livable.
Over the next few years his daughter, son-in-law and a small team joined in. Together they created Red Barn Ranch RV Park and Apartments in Florence. What started as concrete walls and a barn turned into a community with apartments, RV sites, laundry and storage buildings.
As Red Barn Ranch grew it became clear that Central Texas needed more long-term RV options. In 2023 the family built Juniper Ridge RV Village in Liberty Hill. Juniper Ridge was designed from the ground up with what we had learned at Red Barn Ranch – wide concrete pads, reliable internet, storage space, a pool and a layout that works well for traveling professionals and families.
Both parks share the same approach: straightforward design, consistent management and a focus on giving people a good place to stay while they work and live in the area. What began with one red barn has grown into two communities that serve Central Texas today.
Our RV Park company is Seven Suns Properties.
Why Seven Suns?
Seven Suns represents the seven people in our family – Cameron, Donna and their five kids. The name is a reminder that what we’re building is about more than land or buildings. It’s about people, light, warmth and creating something that will last.
We believe home matters. People matter. And with enough heart, even an abandoned concrete building can become something beautiful.
