Our Story
We didn’t plan to start RV parks.
Our story started with a red barn, a 10,000-square-foot massive unused concrete building and a strong belief that – with creativity, hard work and a little faith – you can turn almost anything into something meaningful.
That’s how Red Barn Ranch, our first RV park, was born. And it’s the same vision that eventually helped shape Juniper Ridge RV Village:
Make the most of what you have
Create spaces that feel like home
Lead with integrity, welcome people with kindness and leave things better than you found them
From One Red Barn to Two Parks
Red Barn Ranch began on a quiet stretch of land between Florence and Briggs, Texas. On the property sat a bright red barn and a massive, unused concrete building – 10,000 square feet of potential just waiting for a purpose.
Cameron Smiley, founder of what would become Seven Suns Properties, had five kids and a vision. He wanted to build something for them – and with them – that would also bless others. Something rooted in family values, resourcefulness and purpose.
The original idea wasn’t really to start an RV park. It was to take what was already there and create something good.
Little by little, the work began. Power and water were installed. Sites were cleared. The land was shaped into a place where people could live with dignity and community. Red Barn Ranch quietly grew into a place where folks looked out for each other and took pride in where they stayed.
And every step of the way, we were joined by a team of dedicated employees whose hard work, loyalty and belief in what we were building helped turn that vision into reality. Their commitment is a foundational part of our story – and we’re deeply grateful.
As Red Barn Ranch began to thrive, so did the desire to expand that sense of home. That’s when Juniper Ridge was born.
Juniper Ridge RV Village was designed to carry the same spirit forward – offering a peaceful, well-run park for long-term guests who know they need more than just a place to park.
Why Seven Suns?
Seven Suns represents the seven people in our family – Cameron, Donna and their five kids. The name is a reminder that what we’re building is about more than land or buildings. It’s about people, light, warmth and creating something that will last.
We believe home matters. People matter. And with enough heart, even an abandoned concrete building can become something beautiful.
Welcome to Juniper Ridge – we’re glad you’re here.
